حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا ثُمَامَةُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَاءَهُ أَصْحَابُهُ فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْهِمْ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ فَخَفَّفَ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ بَيْتَهُ فَأَطَالَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَيْهِمْ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ فَخَفَّفَ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ فَأَطَالَ فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ قَالُوا جِئْنَاكَ الْبَارِحَةَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَصَلَّيْتَ بِنَا فَخَفَّفْتَ ثُمَّ دَخَلْتَ بَيْتَكَ فَأَطَلْتَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي فَعَلْتُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ أَجْلِكُمْ قَالَ حَمَّادٌ وَكَانَ حَدَّثَنَا هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ ثَابِتٌ عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ فَلَقِيتُ ثُمَامَةَ فَسَأَلْتُهُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
'Affan told us, Hammad told us, Thumamah told us, from Anas, that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, was visited by his companions. He went out to them and led them in prayer, making it brief, then entered his house and stayed long, then went out to them again and led them in prayer, making it brief, then entered and stayed long. When morning came they said: "We came to you last night, O Messenger of God, and you led us in prayer and made it brief, then you entered your house and stayed long." He said: "I did that for your sake." Hammad said: Thabit narrated this hadith to us from Thumamah, so I met Thumamah and asked him about it.
