حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ أَوْلَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ بَنَى بِزَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ فَأَشْبَعَ النَّاسَ خُبْزًا وَلَحْمًا ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى حُجَرِ أُمَّهَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ كَمَا كَانَ يَصْنَعُ صَبِيحَةَ بِنَائِهِ فَيُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهِنَّ وَيَدْعُو لَهُنَّ وَيُسَلِّمْنَ عَلَيْهِ وَيَدْعُونَ لَهُ فَلَمَّا رَجَعَ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ رَأَى رَجُلَيْنِ جَرَى بَيْنَهُمَا الْحَدِيثُ فَلَمَّا رَآهُمَا رَجَعَ عَنْ بَيْتِهِ فَلَمَّا رَأَيَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجَعَ عَنْ بَيْتِهِ وَثَبَا مُسْرِعَيْنِ قَالَ فَمَا أَدْرِي أَنَا أَخْبَرْتُهُ بِخُرُوجِهِمَا أَمْ أُخْبِرَ فَرَجَعَ حَتَّى دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ وَأَرْخَى السِّتْرَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ وَأُنْزِلَتْ آيَةُ الْحِجَابِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abdullah ibn Bakr told us, who said Humayd told us, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, held a wedding feast when he consummated his marriage with Zaynab bint Jahsh, and he fed the people bread and meat until they were full. Then he went out to the chambers of the Mothers of the Believers, as he used to do the morning after his wedding, greeting them and praying for them, and they would greet him and pray for him. When he returned to his house, he saw two men engaged in conversation. When he saw them he turned back from his house, and when the two men saw the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, turn back from his house, they jumped up hastily and left. He said: I do not know whether I told him of their leaving or he was informed. He returned until he entered the house, and let down the curtain between me and him, and the verse of the veil (hijab) was revealed.
