حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ كَانُوا يَسْتَفْتِحُونَ الْقِرَاءَةَ بِ { الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ }.

Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, he said: Sa'id told us, from Qatada, from Anas, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman used to begin the recitation with "Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds."
