حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَهْطًا مِنْ عُكْلٍ وَعُرَيْنَةَ أَتَوْا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا كُنَّا نَاسًا أَهْلَ ضَرْعٍ وَلَمْ نَكُنْ أَهْلَ رِيفٍ اسْتَوْخَمْنَا الْمَدِينَةَ فَأَمَرَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِذَوْدٍ وَرَاعٍ وَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَخْرُجُوا فِيهَا فَيَشْرَبُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا وَأَبْوَالِهَا فَانْطَلَقُوا حَتَّى إِذَا كَانُوا فِي نَاحِيَةِ الْحَرَّةِ قَتَلُوا رَاعِيَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاسْتَاقُوا الذَّوْدَ وَكَفَرُوا بَعْدَ إِسْلَامِهِمْ فَبَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي طَلَبِهِمْ فَأُتِيَ بِهِمْ فَقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَسَمَرَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ وَتَرَكَهُمْ فِي نَاحِيَةِ الْحَرَّةِ حَتَّى مَاتُوا وَهُمْ كَذَلِكَ قَالَ قَتَادَةُ وَذُكِرَ لَنَا أَنَّ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ نَزَلَتْ فِيهِمْ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abd al-Wahhab told us: Sa'id informed us, from Qatada, from Anas, that a group from Ukl and Urayna came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said, 'O Messenger of God, we were people of livestock, not people of farmland, and we have found Medina's climate unhealthy for us.' So the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered for them some milk camels and a herdsman, and commanded them to go out with them and drink from their milk and urine. So they set off, and when they were in the outskirts of al-Harra, they killed the herdsman of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, drove off the camels, and apostatized after their Islam. So the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, sent men in pursuit of them; they were brought back, and he cut off their hands and feet and seared their eyes, and left them in the outskirts of al-Harra until they died in that state. Qatada said: And it was mentioned to us that this verse of the Qur'an was revealed concerning them.
