حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا حَزْمٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ لِبَعْضِ مَخَارِجِهِ وَمَعَهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ فَانْطَلَقُوا يَسِيرُونَ فَحَضَرَتْ الصَّلَاةُ فَلَمْ يَجِدْ الْقَوْمُ مَاءً يَتَوَضَّئُونَ بِهِ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهِ مَا نَجِدُ مَا نَتَوَضَّأُ بِهِ وَرَأَى فِي وُجُوهِ أَصْحَابِهِ كَرَاهِيَةَ ذَلِكَ فَانْطَلَقَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْقَوْمِ فَجَاءَ بِقَدَحٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ يَسِيرٍ فَأَخَذَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ مَدَّ أَصَابِعَهُ الْأَرْبَعَةَ عَلَى الْقَدَحِ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَلُمُّوا فَتَوَضَّئُوا فَتَوَضَّأَ الْقَوْمُ حَتَّى أَبْلَغُوا فِيمَا يُرِيدُونَ قَالَ سُئِلَ كَمْ بَلَغُوا قَالَ سَبْعِينَ أَوْ نَحْوَ ذَلِكَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yunus told us: Hazm told us: I heard al-Hasan say: Anas ibn Malik told us that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, went out one day for one of his errands, with some of his companions with him. They set off traveling, and the time for prayer came, but the people could not find water to perform ablution with. They said: O Messenger of Allah, by Allah we cannot find anything to perform ablution with. And he saw in the faces of his companions their dislike of that. Then a man from the people went and brought a small cup with a little water in it. The Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, took it and performed ablution from it, then spread his four fingers over the cup and said: Come and perform ablution. So the people performed ablution until they had accomplished all they wanted. He was asked: How many did they reach? He said: Seventy, or thereabouts.
