حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ أَنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ النُّخَاعَةُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ خَطِيئَةٌ وَكَفَّارَتُهَا دَفْنُهَا.

Al-Dahhak ibn Makhlad told us, Sa'id ibn Abi Arubah told us, from Qatadah, that Anas ibn Malik told them that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Spitting in the mosque is a sin, and its atonement is to bury it.
