Rawh and Affan told us — the meaning being the same — Hammad told us, from Thabit, from Anas ibn Malik, that a young man from the Ansar said: O Messenger of Allah, I wish to go on jihad, but I have no wealth to equip myself with. He said: Go to so-and-so the Ansari, for he had prepared himself and then fell ill. Say to him: the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sends you greetings and says to you: give me what you had prepared for yourself. So he said that to him, and he said: O so-and-so, give him what you prepared for me, and withhold nothing from him, for by Allah, if you withhold anything from him, Allah will not bless you in it. Affan said: a young man of Aslam.
