حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالْمُهَاجِرُونَ يَحْفِرُونَ الْخَنْدَقَ فِي غَدَاةٍ بَارِدَةٍ قَالَ أَنَسٌ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمْ خَدَمٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّمَا الْخَيْرُ خَيْرُ الْآخِرَهْ فَاغْفِرْ لِلْأَنْصَارِ وَالْمُهَاجِرَهْ قَالَ فَأَجَابُوهُ نَحْنُ الَّذِينَ بَايَعُوا مُحَمَّدًا عَلَى الْجِهَادِ مَا بَقِينَا أَبَدًا وَلَا نَفِرُّ وَلَا نَفِرُّ وَلَا نَفِرُّ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ibn Abi Adi told us, from Humayd, from Anas, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, went out, and the Emigrants were digging the trench on a cold morning. Anas said: They had no servants. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: O Allah, the true good is the good of the Hereafter, so forgive the Ansar and the Emigrants. He said: They answered him: We are those who have pledged allegiance to Muhammad for jihad as long as we remain, forever — and we will not flee, we will not flee, we will not flee.
