حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ جَارِيَةً خَرَجَتْ عَلَيْهَا أَوْضَاحٌ فَأَخَذَهَا يَهُودِيٌّ فَرَضَخَ رَأْسَهَا وَأَخَذَ مَا عَلَيْهَا فَأُتِيَ بِهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَبِهَا رَمَقٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ قَتَلَكِ فُلَانٌ فَقَالَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا لَا فَقَالَ فُلَانٌ فَقَالَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا لَا قَالَ فَفُلَانٌ الْيَهُودِيُّ فَقَالَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا نَعَمْ فَأَخَذَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَضَخَ رَأْسَهُ بَيْنَ حَجَرَيْنِ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا هَمَّامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ شُعْبَةَ إِلَّا أَنَّ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ فِي حَدِيثِهِ فَاعْتَرَفَ الْيَهُودِيُّ.

Yazid informed us: Shu'bah informed us, from Hisham ibn Zayd ibn Anas, from Anas ibn Malik, that a young girl went out wearing silver ornaments, and a Jew seized her, crushed her head with a stone, and took what she was wearing. She was brought to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, while she still had a trace of life left in her. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to her, "Who killed you? So-and-so?" She indicated with her head, "No." He said, "So-and-so?" She indicated with her head, "No." He said, "So-and-so, the Jew?" She indicated with her head, "Yes." So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, had him seized, and he crushed his head between two stones. — Yazid ibn Harun told us: Hammam informed us, from Qatadah, from Anas, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with a hadith like that of Shu'bah, except that Qatadah said in his narration, "So the Jew confessed."
