حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تُوَاصِلُوا قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ قَالَ إِنِّي لَسْتُ كَأَحَدِكُمْ إِنِّي أَبِيتُ أُطْعَمُ وَأُسْقَى.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yazid informed us: Shu'bah informed us, from Qatadah, from Anas, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said, "Do not practice continuous fasting." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, but you practice it!" He said, "I am not like any of you: I spend the night being fed and given drink."
