حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ ابْنًا لِأُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ صَغِيرًا كَانَ يُقَالُ لَهُ أَبُو عُمَيْرٍ وَكَانَ لَهُ نُغَيْرٌ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ ضَاحَكَهُ فَرَآهُ حَزِينًا فَقَالَ مَا بَالُ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَاتَ نُغَيْرُهُ قَالَ فَجَعَلَ يَقُولُ يَا أَبَا عُمَيْرٍ مَا فَعَلَ النُّغَيْرُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yazid informed us: Humayd informed us, from Anas, that a young son of Umm Sulaym, called Abu 'Umayr, had a small pet bird, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to joke playfully with him when he came to him. He saw him sad one day and said, "What is wrong with Abu 'Umayr?" They said, "O Messenger of Allah, his little bird has died." So he began to say, "O Abu 'Umayr, what happened to the little bird?"
