Muhammad ibn Abdullah narrated to us: Humayd narrated to us, who said: Anas was asked, "Did the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, take a signet ring?" He said: "Yes. One night he delayed the last night prayer until close to the middle of the night. When he had prayed, he turned his face toward us and said: 'The people have prayed and gone to sleep, while you have remained in prayer as long as you have been waiting for it.'" Anas said: "It is as if I am now looking at the gleam of his ring."
