الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yahya told us, Humayd told us, from Anas, who said: I used to give drink to Abu Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah, Ubayy ibn Ka'b, Suhayl ibn Bayda', and a group of the Prophet's companions at Abu Talhah's, and I was pouring for them until the drink nearly began to affect them. Then someone came from among the Muslims and said, "Have you not heard that wine has been forbidden?" They did not say anything until they said, "Let us look and ask." Then they said, "O Anas, pour out what remains in your vessel." He said: By God, they never returned to it, and it was nothing but a drink made from dates and unripe dates — that was their wine in those days.
