حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ جَنَازَةً مَرَّتْ بِالنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقِيلَ لَهَا خَيْرًا وَتَتَابَعَتْ الْأَلْسُنُ لَهَا بِالْخَيْرِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَجَبَتْ ثُمَّ مَرَّتْ جَنَازَةٌ أُخْرَى فَقَالُوا لَهَا شَرًّا وَتَتَابَعَتْ الْأَلْسُنُ لَهَا بِالشَّرِّ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَجَبَتْ أَنْتُمْ شُهَدَاءُ اللَّهِ فِي الْأَرْضِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yahya ibn Sa'id told us, from Humayd, from Anas, that a funeral bier passed by the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and good was said of the deceased, and tongues kept praising him with good, so the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "It is assured." Then another funeral bier passed, and they spoke ill of the deceased, and tongues kept speaking ill of him, so the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "It is assured. You are God's witnesses on earth."
