حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ الرُّبَيِّعَ بِنْتَ النَّضْرِ عَمَّةَ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ كَسَرَتْ ثَنِيَّةَ جَارِيَةٍ فَعَرَضُوا عَلَيْهِمْ الْأَرْشَ فَأَبَوْا وَطَلَبُوا الْعَفْوَ فَأَبَوْا فَأَبَوْا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَمَرَ بِالْقِصَاصِ فَجَاءَ أَخُوهَا أَنَسُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ عَمُّ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَتُكْسَرُ ثَنِيَّةُ الرُّبَيِّعِ لَا وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لَا تُكْسَرُ ثَنِيَّتُهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا أَنَسُ كِتَابُ اللَّهِ الْقِصَاصُ قَالَ فَعَفَا الْقَوْمُ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ مِنْ عِبَادِ اللَّهِ مَنْ لَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللَّهِ لَأَبَرَّهُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn al-Muthanna told us, Humayd al-Tawil told us, from Anas ibn Malik, that al-Rubayyi' bint al-Nadr, the paternal aunt of Anas ibn Malik, broke the front tooth of a slave girl. They offered her family compensation, but they refused and sought pardon, but the girl's family refused; they refused all but retaliation before the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, so he ordered retaliation. Then her brother, Anas ibn al-Nadr, the uncle of Anas ibn Malik, came and said, "O Messenger of Allah, shall al-Rubayyi's tooth be broken? No, by the One Who sent you with the truth, her tooth shall not be broken." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "O Anas, the Book of Allah decrees retaliation." He said: So the people forgave. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, then said, "Indeed, among the servants of Allah are those who, if they swore an oath upon Allah, He would fulfill it for them."
