حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفٌ عَنْ حَفْصٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ انْطُلِقَ بِنَا إِلَى الشَّامِ إِلَى عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ وَنَحْنُ أَرْبَعُونَ رَجُلًا مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ لِيَفْرِضَ لَنَا فَلَمَّا رَجَعَ وَكُنَّا بِفَجِّ النَّاقَةِ صَلَّى بِنَا الْعَصْرَ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ وَدَخَلَ فُسْطَاطَهُ وَقَامَ الْقَوْمُ يُضِيفُونَ إِلَى رَكْعَتَيْهِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ أُخْرَيَيْنِ قَالَ فَقَالَ قَبَّحَ اللَّهُ الْوُجُوهَ فَوَاللَّهِ مَا أَصَابَتْ السُّنَّةَ وَلَا قَبِلَتْ الرُّخْصَةَ فَأَشْهَدُ لَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ أَقْوَامًا يَتَعَمَّقُونَ فِي الدِّينِ يَمْرُقُونَ كَمَا يَمْرُقُ السَّهْمُ مِنْ الرَّمِيَّةِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Husayn ibn Muhammad told us, Khalaf told us, from Hafs, from Anas ibn Malik, that he said: We were taken to Syria to Abd al-Malik, forty men of us from the Ansar, so that he would assign us stipends. When he returned, and we were at Fajj al-Naqah, he led us in the Asr prayer, then gave the closing salutation and entered his tent. The people then got up and added two more rak'ahs to his two rak'ahs. He said, "May Allah disfigure these faces! By Allah, they have neither followed the Sunnah nor accepted the concession. I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say, 'There will be people who delve too deeply into religion; they will pass through it just as an arrow passes through its target.'"
