Ibn Abi Adiyy narrated to us from Humayd, from Anas: that Banu Salimah wanted to move from their dwellings to live near the mosque. This reached the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he disliked that Madinah should become empty of them, so he said, "O Banu Salimah, will you not count your footsteps to the mosque as reward?" They said, "Yes indeed, O Messenger of Allah," and they stayed.
