حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يُحَدِّثُ قَالَ شَهِدْتُ وَلِيمَتَيْنِ مِنْ نِسَاءِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فَمَا أَطْعَمَنَا فِيهَا خُبْزًا وَلَا لَحْمًا قَالَ قُلْتُ فَمَهْ قَالَ الْحَيْسَ يَعْنِي التَّمْرَ وَالْأَقِطَ بِالسَّمْنِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hushaym told us, Ali ibn Zayd informed us, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: I heard him relate: I attended two wedding feasts among the wives of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); he said: he did not feed us bread or meat at them. I said: "Then what?" He said: "Hays" - meaning dates and dried curd with clarified butter.
