حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُجَالِدٌ عَنْ أَبِي الْوَدَّاكِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ قُلْتُ وَاللَّهِ مَا يَأْتِي عَلَيْنَا أَمِيرٌ إِلَّا وَهُوَ شَرٌّ مِنْ الْمَاضِي وَلَا عَامٌ إِلَّا وَهُوَ شَرٌّ مِنْ الْمَاضِي قَالَ لَوْلَا شَيْءٌ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَقُلْتُ مِثْلَ مَا يَقُولُ وَلَكِنْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ مِنْ أُمَرَائِكُمْ أَمِيرًا يَحْثِي الْمَالَ حَثْيًا وَلَا يَعُدُّهُ عَدًّا يَأْتِيهِ الرَّجُلُ فَيَسْأَلُهُ فَيَقُولُ خُذْ فَيَبْسُطُ الرَّجُلُ ثَوْبَهُ فَيَحْثِي فِيهِ وَبَسَطَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِلْحَفَةً غَلِيظَةً كَانَتْ عَلَيْهِ يَحْكِي صَنِيعَ الرَّجُلِ ثُمَّ جَمَعَ إِلَيْهِ أَكْنَافَهَا قَالَ فَيَأْخُذُهُ ثُمَّ يَنْطَلِقُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Khalaf ibn al-Walid told us, Abbad ibn Abbad told us, Mujalid told us, from Abu al-Waddak, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: I said: "By Allah, no ruler comes to us but that he is worse than the one before him, and no year comes but that it is worse than the year before it." He said: "Were it not for something I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I would say the same as you say; but I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Indeed, among your rulers will be a ruler who scoops out wealth by the handful without counting it. A man will come to him and ask him, and he will say: Take. So the man will spread out his garment and he will scoop into it.'" And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) spread out a thick cloak that was on him, imitating the man's action, then gathered its edges together. He said: "Then he takes it and departs."
