حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ جَالِسًا مَعَ مَرْوَانَ فَمَرَّتْ جِنَازَةٌ فَمَرَّ بِهِ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ فَقَالَ قُمْ أَيُّهَا الْأَمِيرُ فَقَدْ عَلِمَ هَذَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا تَبِعَ جِنَازَةً لَمْ يَجْلِسْ حَتَّى تُوضَعَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Waki' told us, from Ibn Abi Dhi'b, from al-Maqburi, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, that he was sitting with Marwan when a funeral passed by, and Abu Sa'id passed by him and said: "Stand up, O commander! This man knows that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when he followed a funeral, would not sit until it was set down."
