حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ مِنْ كُلِّ اللَّيْلِ قَدْ أَوْتَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ أَوَّلِهِ وَأَوْسَطِهِ وَآخِرِهِ وَانْتَهَى وِتْرُهُ إِلَى آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ.

It was narrated that Hadrat 'Ali (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) prayed Witr at all times of the night, at the beginning, in the middle and at the end, then in the end he settled on praying Witr at the end of the night
