Abd al-Razzaq told us, Ma'mar informed us, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from Ata' ibn Yasar, from Abu Sa'id, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the believers are saved from the Fire on the Day of Resurrection and are secure, the arguing of one of you with his companion over a right that is his in this world will not be more intense than the arguing of the believers with their Lord concerning their brothers who were admitted to the Fire." He said: "They will say: 'Our Lord, our brothers used to pray with us, fast with us, and perform Hajj with us, yet You have admitted them to the Fire.' He will say: 'Go and bring out whomever you recognize.' So they will come to them and recognize them by their forms - the Fire does not consume their forms. Some of them the Fire will have taken up to the middle of their shins, and some up to their ankles. They will bring them out and say: 'Our Lord, we have brought out those whom You commanded us.' Then He will say: 'Bring out whoever has in his heart the weight of a dinar of faith,' then whoever has in his heart the weight of half a dinar, until He says: 'whoever has in his heart the weight of a speck.'" Abu Sa'id said: "Whoever does not believe this, let him read this verse: {Indeed, Allah does not wrong [anyone] the weight of a speck; and if there is a good deed, He multiplies it and gives from Himself a great reward}." He said: "They will say: 'Our Lord, we have brought out those whom You commanded us, and no one with any good left remains in the Fire.' Then Allah will say: 'The angels have interceded, the prophets have interceded, and the believers have interceded, and none remains but the Most Merciful of the merciful.' He will then take a handful from the Fire - or he said two handfuls - of people who never did any good for Allah's sake at all, who have been burned until they have become charred remains. They will be brought to a water called the Water of Life, and it will be poured upon them, and they will sprout as a seed sprouts in the silt carried by a flood. They will come out of their bodies like pearls, with a ring around their necks, as freedmen of Allah. It will be said to them: 'Enter Paradise; whatever you wish for or whatever you see, it is yours, and with Me is better than this.' They will say: 'Our Lord, what could be better than that?' He will say: 'My pleasure with you - I will never be displeased with you again, ever.'"
