حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي الزُّهْرِيَّ أَخْبَرَنِي حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ أَخْبَرَاهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى نُخَامَةً فِي حَائِطِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَتَنَاوَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَصَاةً فَحَتَّهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ إِذَا تَنَخَّمَ أَحَدُكُمْ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَلَا يَتَنَخَّمْ قِبَلَ وَجْهِهِ وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَلْيَبْصُقْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ أَوْ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ الْيُسْرَى.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Bishr ibn Shu'ayb ibn Abi Hamza told us, my father informed me - meaning Muhammad, that is, al-Zuhri - Humayd ibn Abd al-Rahman informed me, that Abu Hurayra and Abu Sa'id al-Khudri informed him that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, saw phlegm on the wall of the mosque. So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, took a pebble and scraped it off, then said: "When one of you spits while he is praying, let him not spit toward his face nor to his right; let him spit to his left or beneath his left foot."
