حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ حَيْوَةُ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ الْهَادِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ خَبَّابٍ حَدَّثَهُمْ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَذُكِرَ عِنْدَهُ عَمُّهُ أَبُو طَالِبٍ فَقَالَ لَعَلَّهُ أَنْ تَنْفَعَهُ شَفَاعَتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَيُجْعَلَ فِي ضَحْضَاحٍ مِنْ النَّارِ يَبْلُغُ كَعْبَيْهِ يَغْلِي مِنْهُ دِمَاغُهُ.

Harun ibn Ma'ruf told us: Ibn Wahb told us: Haywah [said]: Ibn al-Had told me that Abdullah ibn Khabbab told them, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, that he heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him - when his uncle Abu Talib was mentioned before him - say, "Perhaps my intercession will benefit him on the Day of Resurrection, so that he will be placed in a shallow part of the Fire reaching up to his ankles, from which his brain boils."
