حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ حَدَّثَنَا عِيَاضٌ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ الْمَسْجِدَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَدَعَاهُ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ الْجُمُعَةَ الثَّانِيَةَ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَدَعَاهُ فَأَمَرَهُ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ الْجُمُعَةَ الثَّالِثَةَ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَالَ تَصَدَّقُوا فَفَعَلُوا فَأَعْطَاهُ ثَوْبَيْنِ مِمَّا تَصَدَّقُوا ثُمَّ قَالَ تَصَدَّقُوا فَأَلْقَى أَحَدَ ثَوْبَيْهِ فَانْتَهَرَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَرِهَ مَا صَنَعَ ثُمَّ قَالَ انْظُرُوا إِلَى هَذَا فَإِنَّهُ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ فِي هَيْئَةٍ بَذَّةٍ فَدَعَوْتُهُ فَرَجَوْتُ أَنْ تُعْطُوا لَهُ فَتَصَدَّقُوا عَلَيْهِ وَتَكْسُوهُ فَلَمْ تَفْعَلُوا فَقُلْتُ تَصَدَّقُوا فَتَصَدَّقُوا فَأَعْطَيْتُهُ ثَوْبَيْنِ مِمَّا تَصَدَّقُوا ثُمَّ قُلْتُ تَصَدَّقُوا فَأَلْقَى أَحَدَ ثَوْبَيْهِ خُذْ ثَوْبَكَ وَانْتَهَرَهُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yahya ibn Sa'id told us, from Ibn 'Ajlan: 'Iyad told us, from Abu Sa'id, who said: A man entered the mosque on a Friday while the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was on the pulpit. He called him and ordered him to pray two rak'ahs. Then he entered on the second Friday while the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) was on the pulpit; he called him and ordered him likewise. Then he entered on the third Friday, and he ordered him to pray two rak'ahs, then said: "Give in charity." So they did, and he gave him two garments from what they had given. Then he said: "Give in charity," and the man threw down one of his two garments, so the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) rebuked him and disliked what he had done, then said: "Look at this man: he entered the mosque in a shabby state, so I called him, hoping that you would give him something, and you would clothe him — but you did not do it. So I said, 'Give in charity,' and you gave, and I gave him two garments from what you gave. Then I said, 'Give in charity,' and he threw down one of his two garments — take back your garment!" — and he rebuked him.
