حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَمَرَرْنَا بِنَهَرٍ فِيهِ مَاءٌ مِنْ مَاءِ السَّمَاءِ وَالْقَوْمُ صِيَامٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اشْرَبُوا فَلَمْ يَشْرَبْ أَحَدٌ فَشَرِبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَشَرِبَ الْقَوْمُ.

Yazid told us, Abu Mas'ud al-Jurayri informed us, from Abu Nadrah, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: We were with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, on a journey, and we passed by a stream containing rainwater, while the people were fasting. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Drink." But no one drank, so the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, drank, and then the people drank.
