The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him. Whoever dislikes meeting Allah, Allah dislikes meeting him.' Aishah (or one of his wives) said: 'We all dislike death.' He said: 'It is not that. Rather, when the believer is given glad tidings of the mercy of Allah, His pleasure, and His Paradise, he loves to meet Allah, and Allah loves to meet him. When the disbeliever is given tidings of the punishment of Allah and His wrath, he dislikes meeting Allah, and Allah dislikes meeting him.'
