حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ إِنَّ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ دَاوُدَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَطُوفُ اللَّيْلَةَ عَلَى مِائَةِ امْرَأَةٍ فَتَلِدُ كُلُّ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْهُنَّ غُلَامًا يَضْرِبُ بِالسَّيْفِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلَمْ يَسْتَثْنِ قَالَ فَطَافَ فِي تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةِ عَلَى مِائَةِ امْرَأَةٍ فَلَمْ تَلِدْ مِنْهُنَّ غَيْرُ امْرَأَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَلَدَتْ نِصْفَ إِنْسَانٍ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْ أَنَّهُ كَانَ قَالَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَوَلَدَتْ كُلُّ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْهُنَّ غُلَامًا يَضْرِبُ بِالسَّيْفِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Sulayman ibn Dawud (peace be upon him) said: 'Tonight I will go to a hundred women, and each one will bear a boy who will fight with the sword in the cause of Allah.' But he did not say 'In sha Allah' (God willing). So he went to a hundred women that night, and none of them gave birth except one woman, who gave birth to half a human being. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Had he said In sha Allah, every one of them would have given birth to a boy who would fight with the sword in the cause of Allah the Mighty and Majestic.'
