Mahmud ibn Labid said: When Sa'd's vein was struck on the day of the Trench and he became critically wounded, they moved him to a woman called Rufaydah, who used to treat the wounded. The Prophet (peace be upon him) would pass by him and say in the evening: 'How was your evening?' and in the morning: 'How was your morning?' And Sa'd would inform him.
