806/1051(صحيح)عن أنس:"أنه كان ابن عشر سنين مقدم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم المدينة، فكن أمهاتي(1)يوطوّنني على خدمته، فخدمته عشر سنين، وتوفي وأنا ابن عشرين، فكنت أعلم الناس بشأن الحجاب، فكان أول ما نزل ما ابتنى(2)رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بزينب بنت جحش، أصبح بها عروساً، فدعى القوم فأصابوا من الطعام، ثم خرجوا، وبقي رهط عند النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فأطالوا المكث، فقام فخرج وخرجت؛ لكي يخرجوا، فمشى فمشيت معه، حتى جاء عتبة حجرة عائشة، ثم ظن أنهم خرجوا فرجع ورجعت[معه]حتى دخل على زينب، فإذا هم جلوس، فرجع ورجعت حتى بلغ عتبة حجرة عائشة. وظن أنهم خرجوا، فرجع ورجعت معه، فإذا هم قد خرجوا، فضرب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بيني وبينه الستر، وأُنزل الحجاب"(3).
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Anas said: 'I was ten years old when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) arrived in Madinah. My mothers encouraged me to serve him, so I served him for ten years. He passed away when I was twenty. I was the most knowledgeable of people about the verse of the veil. The first occasion it was revealed was when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) married Zaynab bint Jahsh. He awoke as her groom, invited the people, and they ate. Then they left, but a group remained with the Prophet (peace be upon him) and stayed long. He stood and left, and I left, hoping they would leave. He walked and I walked with him until he reached the doorstep of Aishah's room. Then he thought they had left and returned, and I returned with him. But they were still sitting, so he turned back and I turned back until he reached Aishah's doorstep. He thought they had gone, returned, and I returned with him, and they had indeed left. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) drew the curtain between me and him, and the verse of the veil was revealed.'
