750/970-(حسن)عن جابر بن عبد الله: أنه بلغه حديث عن رجل من أصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فابتعت بعيراً، فشددت إليه رحلي شهراً، حتى قدمت الشام، فإذا عبد الله بن أنيس، فبعثت إليه أن جابراً بالباب، فرجع الرسول فقال: جابر بن عبد الله؟ فقلت نعم، فخرج فأعتقني، قلت حديث بلغني لم أسمعه؛ خشيت أن أموت أو تموت، قال: سمعت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول:" يحشر الله العباد – أو الناس- عراة غرلاً بهما"، قلت: ما بهما؟ قال:"ليس معهم شيء، فيناديهم بصوت يسمعه من بَعُدَ- أحسبه قال: كما يسمعه من قرب: أنا الملك، لا ينبغي لأحد من أهل الجنة يدخل الجنة، وأحد من أهل النار يطلبه بمظلمة". ولا ينبغي لأحد من أهل النار يدخل النار، وأحد من أهل الجنة يطلبه بمظلمة". قلت: وكيف؟ وإنما نأتي الله عراة بهما؟ قال:" بالحسنات والسيئات".

Jabir ibn Abdullah reported: A hadith from one of the Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) reached him. He bought a camel, packed his mount, and traveled for a month until he reached Syria. He found Abdullah ibn Unays and sent word that Jabir was at the door. The messenger returned and asked: 'Jabir ibn Abdullah?' He said: 'Yes.' Ibn Unays came out and embraced him. Jabir said: 'A hadith reached me that you heard, which I had not heard, and I feared that I would die or you would die.' He said: 'I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: "Allah will gather the servants — or the people — naked, uncircumcised, without anything." I asked: "What does without anything mean?" He said: "They have nothing with them." Then a voice will call out that those far away will hear — I think he said: as those near hear it — [saying]: I am the Sovereign. No one of the people of Paradise should enter Paradise while anyone from the people of the Fire seeks justice from him. And no one of the people of the Fire should enter the Fire while anyone from the people of Paradise seeks justice from him. I said: How? We will come to Allah naked with nothing. He said: By good deeds and bad deeds.'
