حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حِينَ تُقَامُ الصَّلاَةُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ إِذَا رَآهُمْ قَلِيلاً جَلَسَ لَمْ يُصَلِّ وَإِذَا رَآهُمْ جَمَاعَةً صَلَّى .
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Salim Abu al-Nadr narrates: 'It was the practice of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) that when the Iqamah was called in the mosque and he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) saw few people, he would sit and not pray. But when he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) saw them in sufficient number (for congregation), he would pray.'
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت سالم ابوالنضر فرماتے ہیں: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کا معمول تھا کہ جب مسجد میں اقامت ہوتی اور آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم لوگوں کو کم دیکھتے تو بیٹھ جاتے اور نماز نہ پڑھاتے، اور جب انہیں جماعت کی تعداد میں دیکھتے تو نماز پڑھاتے۔
