حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ غَانِمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، - يَعْنِي الإِفْرِيقِيَّ - أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ زِيَادَ بْنَ نُعَيْمٍ الْحَضْرَمِيَّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ زِيَادَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ الصُّدَائِيَّ، قَالَ لَمَّا كَانَ أَوَّلُ أَذَانِ الصُّبْحِ أَمَرَنِي - يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم - فَأَذَّنْتُ فَجَعَلْتُ أَقُولُ أُقِيمُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَجَعَلَ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى نَاحِيَةِ الْمَشْرِقِ إِلَى الْفَجْرِ فَيَقُولُ " لاَ " . حَتَّى إِذَا طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ نَزَلَ فَبَرَزَ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ إِلَىَّ وَقَدْ تَلاَحَقَ أَصْحَابُهُ - يَعْنِي فَتَوَضَّأَ - فَأَرَادَ بِلاَلٌ أَنْ يُقِيمَ فَقَالَ لَهُ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ أَخَا صُدَاءٍ هُوَ أَذَّنَ وَمَنْ أَذَّنَ فَهُوَ يُقِيمُ " . قَالَ فَأَقَمْتُ .
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Ziyad ibn al-Harith al-Suda'i (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates: 'When the time for the first call of Fajr came, the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) commanded me and I called the Adhan. I kept saying: "Shall I call the Iqamah, O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)?" He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) kept looking towards the east at the dawn and saying: "No." When the dawn broke, he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) dismounted and went to relieve himself. Then he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) returned, and by then his companions had gathered — meaning he performed ablution — and Hadrat Bilal (may Allah be well pleased with him) was about to call the Iqamah, but the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said to him: "The brother of Suda' has called the Adhan, and whoever calls the Adhan should call the Iqamah." He (Ziyad) says: So I called the Iqamah.'
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت زیاد بن حارث صدائی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: جب صبح کی پہلی اذان کا وقت ہوا تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے مجھے حکم فرمایا اور میں نے اذان دی۔ میں کہنے لگا: کیا اقامت کہوں یا رسول اللہ؟ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم مشرق کی جانب فجر کے طلوع کی طرف دیکھنے لگے اور ارشاد فرمایا: نہیں۔ یہاں تک کہ فجر طلوع ہوئی، آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے (سواری سے) اترے اور حاجت کے لیے تشریف لے گئے، پھر واپس تشریف لائے اور اس وقت تک آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے صحابہ جمع ہو چکے تھے — یعنی وضو فرمایا — پھر حضرت بلال رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے اقامت کہنا چاہی تو نبی اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ان سے ارشاد فرمایا: صداء کے بھائی نے اذان دی ہے اور جو اذان دے وہی اقامت کہے۔ فرماتے ہیں: چنانچہ میں نے اقامت کہی۔
