حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، - قَالَ ابْنُ عَوْفٍ وَرَأَيْتُهُ فِي أَصْلِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ - قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ضَمْضَمٌ، عَنْ شُرَيْحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ، قَالَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ حَدِّثْنَا بِكَلِمَةٍ، نَقُولُهَا إِذَا أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَمْسَيْنَا وَاضْطَجَعْنَا فَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَقُولُوا : اللَّهُمَّ فَاطِرَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ عَالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ أَنْتَ رَبُّ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةُ يَشْهَدُونَ أَنَّكَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ فَإِنَّا نَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ أَنْفُسِنَا وَمِنْ شَرِّ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ وَشِرْكِهِ وَأَنْ نَقْتَرِفَ سُوءًا عَلَى أَنْفُسِنَا أَوْ نَجُرَّهُ إِلَى مُسْلِمٍ .
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Abu Malik al-Ash'ari (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates: The Companions submitted: 'O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), teach us a word that we may say in the morning, evening, and when we lie down.' He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) commanded them to say: 'Allahumma Fatiras samawati wal ardi, Alimal ghaybi wash shahadah, Anta Rabbu kulli shay'in wal mala'ikatu yash-haduna annaka la ilaha illa Anta, fa inna na'udhu bika min shururi anfusina wa min sharrish shaytanir rajimi wa shirkihi wa an naqtarifa ala anfusina su'an aw najurrahu ila Muslim (O Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, You are the Lord of all things and the angels bear witness that there is no deity but You. We seek refuge in You from the evil of our selves, from the evil of the accursed devil and his polytheism, and from committing evil against ourselves or bringing it upon any Muslim).'
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت ابومالک اشعری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: صحابہ نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! ہمیں کوئی کلمہ بتائیں جو ہم صبح و شام اور سوتے وقت کہا کریں۔ تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے حکم فرمایا کہ کہو: اَللّٰهُمَّ فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ عَالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ أَنْتَ رَبُّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ يَشْهَدُونَ أَنَّكَ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ فَإِنَّا نَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ أَنْفُسِنَا وَمِنْ شَرِّ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ وَشِرْكِهِ وَأَنْ نَقْتَرِفَ عَلَى أَنْفُسِنَا سُوءًا أَوْ نَجُرَّهُ إِلَى مُسْلِمٍ (اے اللہ! آسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا فرمانے والے، غیب اور حاضر کے جاننے والے، تو ہر چیز کا رب ہے اور فرشتے گواہی دیتے ہیں کہ تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، ہم تیری پناہ مانگتے ہیں اپنے نفسوں کے شر سے اور شیطان مردود کے شر اور اس کے شرک سے اور اس سے کہ ہم اپنے نفسوں پر کوئی برائی کریں یا کسی مسلمان کی طرف کھینچیں)۔
