حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْكِنْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، عَنْ جِبْرِيلَ بْنِ أَحْمَرَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ إِنَّ عِنْدِي مِيرَاثَ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الأَزْدِ وَلَسْتُ أَجِدُ أَزْدِيًّا أَدْفَعُهُ إِلَيْهِ . قَالَ " اذْهَبْ فَالْتَمِسْ أَزْدِيًّا حَوْلاً " . قَالَ فَأَتَاهُ بَعْدَ الْحَوْلِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَمْ أَجِدْ أَزْدِيًّا أَدْفَعُهُ إِلَيْهِ . قَالَ " فَانْطَلِقْ فَانْظُرْ أَوَّلَ خُزَاعِيٍّ تَلْقَاهُ فَادْفَعْهُ إِلَيْهِ " . فَلَمَّا وَلَّى قَالَ " عَلَىَّ الرَّجُلَ " . فَلَمَّا جَاءَ قَالَ " انْظُرْ كُبْرَ خُزَاعَةَ فَادْفَعْهُ إِلَيْهِ " .
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Buraydah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that a man came to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and submitted: I have the estate of a man from the Azd tribe with me, and I cannot find any man of Azd to give it to. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: Go and search for a man of Azd for a year. He came back after a year and submitted: O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), I could not find any man of Azd. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: Go and look for the first man of Khuza'ah you meet and give it to him. When the man turned to leave, he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: Bring the man back to me. When he came, he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: Look for the leading chief of Khuza'ah and give it to him.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت بریدہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی بارگاہ میں حاضر ہوا اور عرض کیا: قبیلہ ازد کے ایک شخص کا ترکہ میرے پاس ہے اور مجھے کوئی ازدی نہیں ملتا جسے میں یہ دے دوں۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: جاؤ اور ایک سال تک کسی ازدی کو تلاش کرو۔ وہ ایک سال بعد واپس آیا اور عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! مجھے کوئی ازدی نہیں ملا۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: جاؤ، پہلا خزاعی جو تمہیں ملے اسے دے دو۔ جب وہ واپس ہونے لگا تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اس شخص کو واپس بلاؤ۔ جب وہ آیا تو ارشاد فرمایا: خزاعہ کے سب سے بڑے سردار کو تلاش کرو اور یہ مال اسے دے دو۔
