حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ، ح حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا بُرْدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ نُسَىٍّ، عَنْ غُضَيْفِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ أَرَأَيْتِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَغْتَسِلُ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ فِي أَوَّلِ اللَّيْلِ أَوْ فِي آخِرِهِ قَالَتْ رُبَّمَا اغْتَسَلَ فِي أَوَّلِ اللَّيْلِ وَرُبَّمَا اغْتَسَلَ فِي آخِرِهِ . قُلْتُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي الأَمْرِ سَعَةً . قُلْتُ أَرَأَيْتِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يُوتِرُ أَوَّلَ اللَّيْلِ أَمْ فِي آخِرِهِ قَالَتْ رُبَّمَا أَوْتَرَ فِي أَوَّلِ اللَّيْلِ وَرُبَّمَا أَوْتَرَ فِي آخِرِهِ . قُلْتُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي الأَمْرِ سَعَةً . قُلْتُ أَرَأَيْتِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَجْهَرُ بِالْقُرْآنِ أَمْ يَخْفِتُ بِهِ قَالَتْ رُبَّمَا جَهَرَ بِهِ وَرُبَّمَا خَفَتَ . قُلْتُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي الأَمْرِ سَعَةً .
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ghudayf ibn al-Harith narrates: I asked Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat Aisha Siddiqah (may Allah be well pleased with her): 'Did you see the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) perform the bath of janabah at the beginning of the night or at its end?' She replied: 'Sometimes he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) would bathe at the beginning of the night and sometimes at its end.' I exclaimed: 'Allahu Akbar! All praise to Allah who made this matter accommodating.' I then asked: 'Did you see the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) pray the Witr at the beginning of the night or at its end?' She replied: 'Sometimes he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) would pray Witr at the beginning of the night and sometimes at its end.' I exclaimed: 'Allahu Akbar! All praise to Allah who made this matter accommodating.' I then asked: 'Did you see the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) recite the Quran aloud or softly?' She replied: 'Sometimes he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) recited aloud and sometimes softly.' I exclaimed: 'Allahu Akbar! All praise to Allah who made this matter accommodating.'
الترجمة الأردية
غضیف بن حارث بیان کرتے ہیں: میں نے حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے عرض کیا: آپ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو غسلِ جنابت رات کے پہلے حصے میں فرماتے دیکھا یا آخری حصے میں؟ فرمایا: کبھی آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم رات کے پہلے حصے میں غسل فرماتے اور کبھی آخری حصے میں۔ میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ اکبر! الحمد للہ جس نے اس معاملے میں وسعت رکھی۔ پھر میں نے عرض کیا: آپ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو وتر رات کے پہلے حصے میں پڑھتے دیکھا یا آخری حصے میں؟ فرمایا: کبھی آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم رات کے پہلے حصے میں وتر پڑھتے اور کبھی آخری حصے میں۔ میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ اکبر! الحمد للہ جس نے اس معاملے میں وسعت رکھی۔ پھر میں نے عرض کیا: آپ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو قرآن بلند آواز سے تلاوت فرماتے دیکھا یا آہستہ؟ فرمایا: کبھی آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم بلند آواز سے تلاوت فرماتے اور کبھی آہستہ۔ میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ اکبر! الحمد للہ جس نے اس معاملے میں وسعت رکھی۔
