حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّهُ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَسَأَلَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مُرْهُ فَلْيُرَاجِعْهَا ثُمَّ لْيُمْسِكْهَا حَتَّى تَطْهُرَ ثُمَّ تَحِيضَ ثُمَّ تَطْهُرَ ثُمَّ إِنْ شَاءَ أَمْسَكَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ وَإِنْ شَاءَ طَلَّقَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَمَسَّ فَتِلْكَ الْعِدَّةُ الَّتِي أَمَرَ اللَّهُ سُبْحَانَهُ أَنْ تُطَلَّقَ لَهَا النِّسَاءُ " .
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrates that he divorced his wife while she was menstruating during the era of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). Hadrat Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be well pleased with him) asked the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) about it. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "Command him to take her back, then keep her until she becomes clean, then menstruates, then becomes clean again. Then, if he wishes, he may keep her after that, and if he wishes, he may divorce her before having relations with her. That is the prescribed period during which Allah, the Glorified, has commanded that women be divorced."
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے اپنی بیوی کو حالتِ حیض میں طلاق دے دی، عہدِ رسالت صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم میں۔ تو حضرت عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے اس بارے میں دریافت کیا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اسے حکم دو کہ وہ رجوع کر لے، پھر اسے روکے رکھے یہاں تک کہ وہ پاک ہو جائے، پھر حیض آئے، پھر پاک ہو جائے۔ پھر اگر چاہے تو اس کے بعد روکے رکھے اور اگر چاہے تو صحبت سے پہلے طلاق دے دے۔ یہی وہ عدت ہے جس کے مطابق اللہ سبحانہ نے حکم دیا ہے کہ عورتوں کو طلاق دی جائے۔
