حَدَّثَنَا شَاذُّ بْنُ فَيَّاضٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتَوَائِيُّ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ كَانَ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَنْتَظِرُونَ الْعِشَاءَ الآخِرَةَ حَتَّى تَخْفِقَ رُءُوسُهُمْ ثُمَّ يُصَلُّونَ وَلاَ يَتَوَضَّئُونَ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ زَادَ فِيهِ شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ كُنَّا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم . وَرَوَاهُ ابْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ بِلَفْظٍ آخَرَ .
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that the noble Companions of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) (may Allah be well pleased with them all) would wait for the Isha prayer until their heads would droop from drowsiness. They would then offer the prayer without performing ablution (again). Abu Dawud states: Shu'bah added from Qatadah: 'We used to do this during the blessed era of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).' And Ibn Abi Arubah narrated it from Qatadah with different wording.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہم عشاء کی نماز کا انتظار فرماتے تھے یہاں تک کہ نیند کے غلبے سے ان کے سر جھک جھک جاتے، پھر وہ نماز ادا فرماتے اور (دوبارہ) وضو نہیں فرماتے۔ حضرت ابوداؤد فرماتے ہیں: شعبہ نے قتادہ سے یہ اضافہ کیا ہے: ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے عہد مبارک میں (ایسا کیا کرتے تھے)۔ اور ابن ابی عروبہ نے قتادہ سے دوسرے الفاظ میں روایت کیا ہے۔
