حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبَّادُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، أَنَّ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ، سَمِعَ أَبَاهُ الْمُغِيرَةَ، يَقُولُ عَدَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَنَا مَعَهُ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ فَعَدَلْتُ مَعَهُ فَأَنَاخَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَتَبَرَّزَ ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَسَكَبْتُ عَلَى يَدِهِ مِنَ الإِدَاوَةِ فَغَسَلَ كَفَّيْهِ ثُمَّ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثُمَّ حَسَرَ عَنْ ذِرَاعَيْهِ فَضَاقَ كُمَّا جُبَّتِهِ فَأَدْخَلَ يَدَيْهِ فَأَخْرَجَهُمَا مِنْ تَحْتِ الْجُبَّةِ فَغَسَلَهُمَا إِلَى الْمِرْفَقِ وَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ ثُمَّ رَكِبَ فَأَقْبَلْنَا نَسِيرُ حَتَّى نَجِدَ النَّاسَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ قَدْ قَدَّمُوا عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ حِينَ كَانَ وَقْتُ الصَّلاَةِ وَوَجَدْنَا عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ وَقَدْ رَكَعَ بِهِمْ رَكْعَةً مِنْ صَلاَةِ الْفَجْرِ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَصَفَّ مَعَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَصَلَّى وَرَاءَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ الرَّكْعَةَ الثَّانِيَةَ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي صَلاَتِهِ . فَفَزِعَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ فَأَكْثَرُوا التَّسْبِيحَ لأَنَّهُمْ سَبَقُوا النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِالصَّلاَةِ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ لَهُمْ " قَدْ أَصَبْتُمْ " . أَوْ " قَدْ أَحْسَنْتُمْ " .
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Mughirah ibn Shu'bah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates: During the expedition of Tabuk, the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) turned aside from the road before dawn, and I was with him, so I turned aside as well. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) made his camel kneel and went to relieve himself. When he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) returned, I poured water from the jug over his blessed hands. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) washed his palms, then his blessed face. He then tried to draw out his forearms, but the sleeves of his cloak were too narrow, so he drew his hands back and brought them out from beneath the cloak, and washed his forearms up to the elbows. He wiped his blessed head, then wiped over his socks. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) then mounted and we proceeded until we found the people engaged in prayer — they had put forward Hadrat Abdur-Rahman ibn Awf (may Allah be well pleased with him) who was leading them in the Fajr prayer. We arrived when one rak'ah had been completed. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) joined the row of the Muslims and prayed the second rak'ah behind Hadrat Abdur-Rahman ibn Awf. When Abdur-Rahman uttered the salutation, he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stood to complete his remaining rak'ah. The Muslims were alarmed by this and began saying 'Subhan Allah,' for they had begun prayer before the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). When he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) completed his prayer, he said to them: 'You did well' — or he said: 'You did right.'
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت مغیرہ بن شعبہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ غزوہ تبوک میں فجر سے پہلے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم (راستے سے) الگ ہوئے اور میں آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھا، میں بھی الگ ہوا۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اونٹ بٹھایا اور قضائے حاجت فرمائی، پھر تشریف لائے تو میں نے چھاگل سے آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ہاتھ مبارک پر پانی ڈالا۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے دونوں ہتھیلیاں دھوئیں، پھر چہرہ انور دھویا، پھر بازو مبارک نکالنا چاہے مگر جبّے کی آستین تنگ تھی، تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ہاتھ اندر کھینچ کر جبّے کے نیچے سے نکالے اور دونوں بازو کہنیوں تک دھوئے، اور سر مبارک کا مسح فرمایا، پھر دونوں موزوں پر مسح فرمایا۔ پھر سوار ہو گئے اور ہم چل پڑے یہاں تک کہ لوگوں کو نماز میں مصروف پایا — انہوں نے حضرت عبدالرحمٰن بن عوف رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو آگے بڑھا رکھا تھا جو انہیں نمازِ فجر پڑھا رہے تھے۔ جب ہم پہنچے تو ایک رکعت ہو چکی تھی، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم مسلمانوں کے ساتھ صف میں شامل ہو گئے اور حضرت عبدالرحمٰن بن عوف کے پیچھے دوسری رکعت ادا فرمائی۔ جب حضرت عبدالرحمٰن نے سلام پھیرا تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اپنی باقی رکعت پوری کرنے کے لیے کھڑے ہوئے۔ یہ دیکھ کر مسلمان گھبرا گئے اور سبحان اللہ کہنے لگے کہ انہوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے پہلے نماز شروع کر دی تھی۔ جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے سلام پھیرا تو ان سے ارشاد فرمایا: تم نے ٹھیک کیا — یا فرمایا: تم نے اچھا کیا۔
